LAKE TAHOE NV/CA ….Team Tahoe, a 501 c 3 nonprofit encouraging eco-tourism, has produced two videos promoting bicycling in the South Lake Tahoe area. The videos are part of Team Tahoe’s bicycle tourism promotion called Bike Tahoe. In addition to videos, Bike Tahoe has a website, www.BikeTahoe.org, hosting 70 bike rides complete with Google maps and details for mountain biking, road cycling, and bike path cruising in 5 iconic Tahoe regions.
These two videos are titled Bike Tahoe South and are part of a promotional collaboration with the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority’s Tahoe South tourism campaign. Each video features mountain biking, road cycling, BMX and bike path cruising in the most popular locations in the South Tahoe area. One video is 30 seconds in length suitable for social media while the other is a longer 3:00-minute version.
According to video producer/director, and Team Tahoe President, Ty Polastri, “the purpose of these videos is twofold: the first is to publicly showcase the beauty and variety of bicycling activities available in the South Tahoe, and secondly; is to offer a promotional tool for local businesses to connect their customers to the bicycling opportunities by linking the videos on their websites.”
The videos are part of a six-video series called We Bike Tahoe. Additional videos will promote mountain biking, road cycling and cruising throughout the Tahoe region with an additional video promoting Tahoe as a bicycle tourism destination.
Funding for videos came in part from the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and the Nevada Commission on Tourism.
