  • The volunteer registration fee is $70. It includes a uniform shirt and cap, continental breakfast and lunch on days worked and a Saturday, Volunteer Appreciation Party with terrific food and prizes.
  • Walking Scorers must volunteer Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12. They may register as course marshals or crowd control people on the preceding days.
  • Scoring, Runners, Stand Bearers, Leader Boards and Walking Marshals are required to volunteer Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12. These positions may volunteer the preceding days as a course marshal or crowd control person.
  • While we request course marshals and crowd control volunteers to register for a minimum of three days, we will accept two.

Back Ground Check

NBC TV’s global security department requires those working the American Century Championship to execute an electronic background check. The reason for the background check is NBC TV wants to make certain that all security clearance measures within their control regarding those working the tournament have been executed. It’s also an insurance requirement for the tournament. The company executing the check, Sports Engine, runs the data through the National Center for Safety Initiatives. They execute background checks for a number of sports entities including the Olympics. The data is not shared with anyone and your information is safe.

Executing the background check is easy and should only take minutes. You can do it on your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or PC, any device attached to WI-FI and the internet. You’ll also be able to go back into the system to see your results.

  3. Fill-in your name
  4. Create a password
  5. Date of Birth
  6. Click on Sign Up
  7. A confirmation link will be sent to your email. Click on the link and it will allow you to begin the process.
  8. Follow the simple directions through to the finish. You can go back into the system in 24 hours to see your results.
