Most residents of the Reno-Tahoe region have never heard about the “Reno-Tahoe Regional Marketing Committee,” a 13-year-old local consortium of destination marketing organizations and casino resorts that has invested more than $8.4 million of public-private marketing dollars to support air service at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RTIA). With the retention and solicitation of incremental air service to and from the Reno-Tahoe area more important than ever, the organization’s low profile status is undoubtedly about to change.
