Join an upcoming public workshop and share your voice!

The Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Planning Team Invites You to Join an Upcoming Public Workshop on Oct 25 or 26 at a time and location of your choice. 

This is the opportunity for members of the public – including the essential voices of the business community – to contribute to the Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Plan’s shared vision for the future of tourism and recreation in the Lake Tahoe region, including Truckee. 

Activities will include: 

• A presentation on findings from research including stakeholder consultations, visitor survey and results from our economic modeling tool including stats on the current situation of tourism in the Tahoe Region, including Truckee, today.  

• An opportunity to discuss in small groups, the pros and cons of three potential future scenarios of tourism and recreation in Tahoe.  Scenarios may include, for example, “Business as Usual” compared with “Managed Growth” or “Values-Based” scenarios and their implications.
• An opportunity to discuss in small groups the key elements of a shared vision and guiding principles for the Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Plan. 

Lake Tahoe’s future depends on the businesses that drive its tourism and recreation economy. Please take this opportunity to take part in shaping it together.
