In case you didn’t notice, July got started with a real “bang”. The 4th of July ‘Lights on the Lake’ fireworks display brought in thousands of spectators and went off without a hitch. LTVA staff swept area beaches for fireworks debris and worked with local stakeholders, including Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District, to make sure no firework debris was left behind. |

Looking back at the scorecard, the 33rd annual American Century Championship celebrity golf event was one for the books. Tony Romo may have brought home the title, but the real winner was the South Shore community. The LTVA is the Destination Sponsor of this event, which affords us national coverage on NBC Sports and the Golf Channel on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the tournament. Sunday’s coverage averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 1.4 million viewers, marking the highest final-round viewership for the event since 2009. The LTVA also recruits and manages a team of volunteers who contribute to the success of the tournament, with over 370 of them making the commitment this year. |
