Quarterly Newsletter – January 2026

Emerald Bay Sunset Winter

Hello SLTTID Members, and Happy New Year.

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. It certainly seems the snow dances paid off, with Mother Nature delivering just in the nick of time.

There were some changes to the TID board at the end of 2025 as we held elections for four board seats that had termed out: 1-50 rooms, 51-90 rooms, 131+ rooms, and Timeshare/VHR seats were all up for election. During the nomination process, we received a total of three nominations for the following: 1-50, 51-90 & Timeshare/VHR. With the lack of nominations, all three applicants received appointment to the TID Board:

  • Nick Carta will continue serving as the representative for 1–50 rooms.
  • Jennifer Cewinski will continue serving as the representative for Timeshare/VHR.
  • We are pleased to welcome Deepak Sharma as the new representative for 51–90 rooms, replacing Randall Lambach, who did not seek re-election.

I would like to personally thank Randall Lambach for his time, dedication, and service to the TID Board over the past several years.

At this time, the TID has one vacant board seat as no nominations were received for the 131+ rooms category. This seat is now open to any interested TID member and will be filled by appointment at the next board meeting on January 22 (location TBD). If you or someone from your property/organization would like to join the board, please let me know by email at rbodine@hotelazuretahoe.com.

Fiscal Year 2025 (October 2024–September 2025) was not without its challenges. That said, SLTTID collections exceeded our budget forecast by nearly $70,000, with a budget of $3,145,345 compared to actual collections of $3,214,701. Since TID revenue is driven by room nights, it was encouraging to see positive room-night growth contribute to this outcome.

If you have any questions regarding the TID, please feel free to reach out to me at rbodine@hotelazuretahoe.com.

Here’s to continued success in 2026.
