While South Shore is long-held common vernacular for the area that encompasses the southern portion of the Lake, it includes both the city of South Lake Tahoe on the California side and Stateline on the Nevada side. “Tahoe” has to be in the name because, well, we are Tahoe, and “South” because it’s the sum of the whole and combines both sides. So, try this on for size: “Tahoe South” – it’s short, memorable and defines our location.
