Plan meetings with ‘Awe and then Some’ in Lake TahoeIn June 2023, Visit Lake Tahoe conducted a FAM (Familiarization Trip) to continue the ongoing investment in familiarizing planners/third-party planners/sports organizers with the destination. The FAM allowed planners to get a close-up, hands-on approach to the product and how it would work for their groups so they could learn more about the new Tahoe Blue Event Center, the destination attributes and experiences available for attendees, and gauge their input via the perception study component. Digital Edge, Visit Lake Tahoe’s meeting marketing agency of record, created a video series using footage from the June ’23 FAM and Tahoe Blue Event Center and destination B-roll. The video series offers broad reach and serves engaging content through a variety of placements across the web. Online video is an effective tool to increase awareness and showcase the destination’s highlights while being cost-effective and delivering measurable results. The online video campaign video ads will run from Nov ’23 – March ’24 on various placements across the web and target event planners and decision-makers, with an estimated impression goal of 82,000 video views per month and 412,000 total during the campaign. |

Sales UpdateLTVA’s Director of Tourism, Juraj Sojka, attended the National Tour Association Travel Exchange in Shreveport, Louisiana, last month where he conducted 25 one-on-one meetings with domestic and international tour operators, ensuring that Lake Tahoe continues to be included in group tour itineraries. At the conference he had the honor to present an educational session for Tourism Cares, where he elaborated on the lakewide Destination Stewardship Plan that Visit Lake Tahoe is a part of. The session participants were very interested and engaged in the presentation/topic, and many congratulated Lake Tahoe on being progressive as a destination and complimented the effort that was put into the plan by regional agencies and partners. |
